A free month of GTA+ with digital preorders
Preordering GTA VI digitally on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store includes one free month of GTA+, Rockstar's premium subscription — on top of the Vintage Vice City Pack that every preorder gets.
The offer applies to both digital editions (Standard and Ultimate) as long as the preorder is placed before November 20, 2026.
What the free month gives you
- GTA$500,000 deposited into your GTA Online bank account
- Vehicle discounts in GTA Online
- 15% bonus on Shark Card purchases
- GTA+ Games Library: access to a rotating selection of classic Rockstar titles
For players who already pay for GTA+, the free month simply stacks — the value is immediate.
⚠️ Important: cancel the auto-renewal
The free GTA+ month is set to auto-renew at ~$8/month when it expires. Cancel it manually if you do not want to be charged:
- PlayStation: Settings → Users and Accounts → Services → Subscriptions → GTA+ → Cancel
- Xbox: profile → Settings → Account → Subscriptions → GTA+ → Cancel (or Microsoft Account → Services & subscriptions)
- Rockstar official guidance: cancel through the store where you originally purchased the subscription; your benefits stay active until the subscription period ends
Set a reminder for ~3 weeks after launch — the free month begins when you claim the bonus, and many players forget until the first charge.
Who does NOT get it
- Physical purchases: no GTA+ month (you still get the Vintage Vice City Pack with the boxed Standard/Ultimate).
- Preorders placed after November 20 lose the preorder bonuses entirely.
The bigger picture
GTA VI itself launches with no microtransactions in the base game — but GTA+ remains a separate, optional subscription tied to the online ecosystem. The free month is a bridge: it gives new players a taste of the premium tier before the online mode, successor to GTA Online, fully opens.
