GTA 6 radio revealed: six stations, twelve hosts — and the podcasts Rockstar promised
Rockstar confirmed six GTA 6 radio stations on October 8, 2026, each with two hosts: Cocoteo FM (Bad Bunny, RaiNao), Back Country Radio (Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey), AfroBank FM (Burna Boy, Palms Trax), The Chamber 106.6 (Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya), a returning Flash FM (Robyn, Alex Consani) and Dirty South Classics (Trick Daddy, Trina).
The short answer
Six stations, twelve hosts, and a new way to listen. On October 8, 2026, Rockstar opened a dedicated music page and named — for the first time — the radio stations that will fill the state of Leonida. The page lists Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics, each with two hosts. Every one carries a "Preview Station" button that already plays a few minutes of its talk and music (Rockstar Games; Vice).
The six stations and the twelve voices behind them
The lineup runs from modern Latin pop to 1980s metal. These are the names, hosts and genres Rockstar published on its own music page — picked up within hours by Vice, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork.
- Cocoteo FM — "Leonida's home for the best of modern Latin music," hosted by El Martillo (Bad Bunny) and La Gata (RaiNao), spanning bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton.
- Back Country Radio — "renegade country" hosted by MW (Morgan Wallen) and Delta Dawne (Lana Del Rey), broadcast across the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn.
- AfroBank FM — African classics, amapiano and 3-step hosted by Burna (Burna Boy) and Palmsy (Palms Trax).
- The Chamber 106.6 — classic metal "from the '80s and beyond," hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom — Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya.
- Flash FM — "the Vice City institution," pop music hosted by Robyn and Alex (Alex Consani).
- Dirty South Classics — regional rap and hip-hop classics hosted by Trick (Trick Daddy) and Trina.
That is twelve named hosts for six stations, and the booking sets the tone of the dial: two global pop and Latin stars in Bad Bunny and Lana Del Rey, a founding pair of Slayer behind the metal slot, and radio veterans like Trick Daddy and Trina holding down the hip-hop station. Rockstar's own line frames the scale — "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet" (Rockstar Games; Insider Gaming).
The voice beyond the twelve hosts
Rockstar's station pages name one recurring character beyond the twelve hosts. Back Country Radio's own description introduces Mud Dog Mike, described as "Back Country's roving reporter, swamp meteorologist, and Delta's not-so-secret lover" and played by Jeremy Dufrene, Lana Del Rey's husband, who checks in "from the driver's seat of his Grassrivers airboat" (Rockstar Games; RockstarINTEL). Rockstar files him as a character inside the station's fiction, not as a third host behind the desk.
Not every outlet drew that line. Mashable's October 8 report lists Back Country's hosts as "Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey, and Jeremy Dufrene", and JustJared's headline presents the married couple as co-hosts — a reading Rockstar's wording does not support, since Mud Dog Mike files reports rather than holds the airwaves (Mashable; JustJared). The point is minor in itself, but it is the sort of gap this reveal invites: four of the six station names were already in the August leaks, and the press is still separating what Rockstar published from what fans inferred.
Cocoteo FM's El Martillo is the one host Rockstar quoted directly with the announcement. Bad Bunny framed the role as representation rather than a cameo: "Cocoteo gets our vibe, our slang, our taste, our pride, our experiences, our traditions, and all our crazy antics. It feels incredibly special to lend my voice to GTA VI and do it in the best way possible: having fun, embodying a character who's like me, and putting our culture, our music, and our people in the spotlight" (Rockstar Games).
What "the next evolution" turned out to mean
When Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17, the post closed with a promise: stay tuned for more on the game's music, "including the dynamic score, the next evolution of in-game radio, and more" (Rockstar Newswire). Three weeks later that evolution has a shape, and it is less about the songs than about where you hear them. Rockstar's page describes "a series of on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia to experience beyond Leonida's terrestrial radio," playable in vehicles and — for the first time in the series — on foot, "through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones" (Rockstar).
Talk radio already existed — the podcasts are what's new
Worth separating two things the headlines blur. Rockstar has put talk on the GTA dial before: Chatterbox FM in GTA III, K-Chat and VCPR in Vice City, West Coast Talk Radio in both San Andreas and GTA V, and Blaine County Talk Radio in 2013. Those stations, though, behave like the music ones — "they're always 'active' and running every time you switch to that station," as VGC wrote on October 8, 2026. The podcasts are a different format: on-demand episodes, which VGC reads as a list players will pick from rather than a loop. The Verge, the same day, frames the payoff — "fictional podcasters give fictional takes on fictional events" — an in-universe layer that reinforces Rockstar's realism push. Rockstar has not yet named a single podcast, host or episode count.
Four of the six were already in the leaks
The August 2026 gameplay leaks, catalogued by Kotaku from the Cyberleek clips, surfaced 14 station names, from V-Rock and Emotion 98.3 to Stockyard FM and The Wipe. Four of Rockstar's six confirmed stations were on that list: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, Dirty South Classics and The Chamber 106.6. The other two, AfroBank FM and Flash FM, appeared in no leak. And V-Rock — which much of the press read as the safest bet, because Jason wears its logo in official art — is still not among the stations Rockstar has named.
Flash FM is the returning brand to watch
Rockstar calls Flash FM "the Vice City institution," phrasing it as a legacy name rather than a new one. Of the Vice City-era stations the leaks floated — V-Rock and Emotion 98.3 among them — only Flash FM has now been made official. For a game whose marketing keeps circling back to the first Vice City, the choice is telling: Rockstar is bringing back the pop dial before the rock one, at least for now (Rockstar; Kotaku).
The Chamber and GTA's metal history
The Chamber 106.6 is not the first time Rockstar has put real metal musicians behind the mic. Axl Rose hosted K-DST in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Max Cavalera hosted Liberty City Hardcore in GTA IV: The Lost and Damned — a precedent DualShockers recalled on 8 October 2026. What is new is the scale of the booking: Loudwire's headline calls Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya two "Big 4" thrash stars taking over a station of their own.
That booking fills a gap that goes back to Grand Theft Auto V. The 2013 game had no dedicated metal station — Channel X covered punk — and players who wanted anything heavier while crossing Los Santos and Blaine County had nowhere to tune, per DualShockers. The Chamber is positioned exactly on that empty slot.
The name carries its own wink. "106.6" is a play on 666, the number of the beast, but DualShockers also reads it as an "almost deliberate reference to The Krunch 106.66", the dedicated metal station of the early Saints Row games. King and Araya are also not the only voices from the metal world on the dial: Loudwire spotted two more in the station preview, Caity Babs of SiriusXM's Octane and Turbo, and Shawn the Butcher of Liquid Metal.
Araya sets the tone in a single line, per Loudwire's transcription: "The world's a heavy place. Give it the thrashing soundtrack it deserves." He delivers it right before spinning Slayer's own "Raining Blood" (1986).
The album is not the radio
The two are easy to confuse and worth keeping apart. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is 34 original tracks released on November 19, the day the game ships, with six singles already streaming — a companion record, not the in-game dial. The six stations named today are the licensed library: songs by other artists, cleared to play inside Leonida. Rockstar has not said whether any of the album's 34 originals will also appear on a station (Rockstar Newswire; Rockstar).
What is still unknown
Rockstar's page describes the six as "hand-picked stations," a hedge worth reading closely: it suggests these are a selection, not the full dial, and Rockstar has given no total station count. There is still no sign of the Spotify integration fans keep guessing at, and the "dynamic score" promised in September has not been detailed either. With GTA VI out on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the coming weeks will decide how much of the dial stays a surprise.
Every song Rockstar has confirmed so far
Rockstar's station pages name three licensed tracks each — 18 songs in total — and Rockstar Actu republished the full selection on 8 October. These are cleared, in-game radio songs, not tracks from The Album:

The 18 titles show the range Rockstar is claiming: a Latin station built on merengue and dembow, an African station mixing 20th-century classics with amapiano, and a country station sit beside two US rap formats and an 1980s metal slot. Rockstar also released fresh in-game images with the music reveal — RockstarINTEL's 8 October write-up counts three new screenshots.
The thirteen credited personalities, in one list
By Rockstar's own count, the 8 October 2026 reveal introduced thirteen credited radio personalities — the twelve hosts named above, plus one Back Country Radio character. Read together, the roster runs like this, with the real-world name behind each on-air alias:
- Cocoteo FM — El Martillo (Bad Bunny) and La Gata (RaiNao).
- Back Country Radio — MW (Morgan Wallen), Delta Dawne (Lana Del Rey) and Mud Dog Mike (Jeremy Dufrene), the station's roving reporter.
- AfroBank FM — Burna (Burna Boy) and Palmsy (Palms Trax).
- The Chamber 106.6 — DJ Kerry (Kerry King) and DJ Tom (Tom Araya), both of Slayer.
- Flash FM — Robyn and Alex (Alex Consani).
- Dirty South Classics — Trick (Trick Daddy) and Trina.
Aggregator account iGrandTheftAuto repeated that "thirteen personalities" figure on 11 October 2026, three days after the reveal, and still described Rockstar's six stations as the "first" ones published. The story kept circulating the next day without carrying any new detail with it: Maxim republished the host list on 12 October 2026, and The Source Magazine did the same that same day, both restating the six stations and the on-demand podcast promise without naming a single podcast, host or episode count. Nothing has been added since the reveal: no extra station, no extra host and no extra licensed song beyond the eighteen titles listed above. That "first" is the number to watch — with Rockstar billing the six as "hand-picked stations" and giving no total, the rest of the dial stays unannounced ahead of the 19 November 2026 release.
